Mike M…I used John Sieling to buy my new home and sell my existing house in Portland recently and he was outstanding.

My process started with a lot of relators aggressively vying to sell my house with lots of promises and little interest in what I wanted. Having never sold a house, it was very overwhelming. It seemed like everyone was eager to sell my house with no interest in helping me buy a new one.

I met John when I spent a weekend going to open houses and looking at potential new houses to buy. From that initial meeting he took off and was extremely helpful in my new home search. He was very proficient at ruling out homes and getting me in front of houses he felt were what I was looking for. He asked a lot of questions and went above and beyond expectations. I travel a lot for my job, so he would look at houses while I was on the road. The one I eventually bought was one he went and checked out while I was away - and we put in an offer without me physically seeing it.

Since John was the only realtor “hustling” at all hours for me and trying to help me find my new home, I offered him the opportunity to sell my existing house. He was very helpful in the selling process. His experience was extremely valuable as we reviewed offers and adapted to how the process evolved.

Throughout the past several months, John has been there every step of the way. He has always answered every call or email no matter what time of day or night it was. His professionalism, mentorship, knowledge, honesty, and hard work ethic are much respected and appreciated. I never felt that he was just trying to sell me a house, but that he was a mentor to answer my questions and help me to make the best decision for my family.

I now consider John a friend and would highly recommend him to anyone that is searching for a new home or selling an existing home. A big thanks again to John Sieling and the Keller Williams Team for helping get me into my new home and for helping me sell my previous home.

Frank & Amy RAfter we sold our condo in San Jose CA, we asked our San Jose agent to give us a referral for a real estate agent in Portland.

I first met John in San Mateo, as he has both connections and business in California.  We had several conversations about what we were looking for, though we quickly learned that it was a pretty big leap going into a new market like Portland.   There are a lot of neighborhoods with differing characteristics and qualities; John jumped right in, helped us identify and refine our needs, ferried us around the City to look at houses and set up great homes for us to see, even when he was out of town.

The Laurelhurst property we settled on involved a unique negotiation, both on price and terms, and required dealing directly with the seller/builder who had extensively remodeled it.   John stayed on top of the entire transaction and made sure the details were addressed, many of which were not finished until the last minutes of the transaction. He also helped after closing, connecting us with his handyman resources to address a few post sale items.

If you are moving to Portland or already live in Portland, buying or selling, I highly recommend John.
